In Ghana, Africa we're partnering with other ministries to rescue, house and educate young African children who have been sold into slavery. The slave trade in Ghana preys on unsuspecting and impoverished parents who surrender their starving children to people who promise to find them a good home. After being taken away, these children are sold on the slave market and forced to work long hours in the fishing trade with maybe one small meal a day. Our goal is to expand and develop more orphanages to house and educate these rescued children, and ultimately to put an end to this inhumane practice.
