What we're about?
Picture first century A.D. and the early Christian church as described in the New Testament book of Acts, Chapter 2. People from all walks of life gathered in churches and in homes sharing their joys, concerns, and resources. Gentiles, Jews, slaves, poor people and wealthy people ignored their differences and instead were bound together by their love for Jesus and their unconditional love for each other.
At Genesis, we want to build and grow a 21st century Acts 2 church that embodies these same values:
- We welcome and accept all people just as they are young or old and all ages in between.
- We welcome and accept those who are married or single, divorced, married again.
- We welcome and encourage people to learn more about Jesus and grow at their own pace.
- We welcome and accept people with no church background, new believers, long time Christ followers, whatever.
- If you’re still checking things out, have doubts and tough questions, feel free to ask them.
- We strive to be a church where our love for Jesus and each other goes beyond our Sunday gatherings.
- We are intentional about spending time together throughout the other six days of the week.
- We desire to meet life head-on together through the good and the tough times.
We’d love to have you join us as we care for each other as well as those in our daily lives and surrounding community, and have some fun along the way.
Who are we affiliated with?
- The Evangelical Covenant Church which is a denomination of more than six hundred churches in the United States and Canada.
- It was founded by Swedish immigrants in 1885 as a voluntary covenant of churches committed to working together to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
