In March of 2011, Genesis embarked on a Faith Campaign we are calling UNSTOPPABLE. While this is a campaign that will allow us to raise the necessary resources to buy and remodel our planned community center, we are even more hopeful that God will use this to increase our faith. The Campaign will last through the 40 days of Lent, and will culminate in an opportunity to give and/or pledge over the next three years. We are calling this the UNSTOPPABLE CAMPAIGN because of what is reflected in Acts 5:38-39.
For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.
What is the faith campaign?
The campaign is an opportunity for us as a community of faith to raise our commitment in being managers of God's Kingdom and His Kingdom resources. The campaign is a catalytic opportunity to take the vision and mission of Genesis Church from us to the community. We believe that God is challenging us to take huge steps of faith in the stewardship of our time, talents, and treasures.
The goals of the campaign are to deeply embed the vision of Genesis to "Go deeper in Christ and further in mission" into our hearts and minds, and to this end, allow us to fulfill the UNSTOPPABLE vision Locally, Regionally and Globally. This will be achieved through the purchase and remodel of an existing building into a full service community center. We believe that through a combination of lending and raising of $1 million over three years, that The Genesis Community Center will be born.
